Rebecca Pidgeon – Spanish Harlem

Spanish Harlem by Rebecca Pidgeon
This the song inspire me to find and try to listening raference vocal song.
The song very melodious.
Lyric

There is a rose in Spanish Harlem
A red rose up in Spanish Harlem
It is a special one,
It's never seen the sun
It only comes out
When the moon is on the run
And all the stars are gleaming

It's growing in the street
Right up through the concrete
Soft and dreamin'

I found a rose in Spanish Harlem
A red rose up in Spanish Harlem
With eyes as black as coal
That look down in my soul
And starts a fire there
And then I lose control
I have to beg your pardon

I'm going to pick that rose
And watch her as she grows
In my garden

There is a rose in Spanish Harlem
A red rose up in Spanish Harlem
It is a special one,
It's never seen the sun
It only comes out
When the moon is on the run
And all the stars are gleaming
I'm going to pick that rose
And watch her as she grows
In my garden

Nitty Gritty Dirty Band – Mr Bojangles

Mr.Bojangles by Nitty Gritty Dirty Band

The awesome song.

This song recorded in 1970. Have you ever heard this song before.

Lyric

I knew a man Bojangles and he'd dance for you
In worn out shoes
With silver hair, a ragged shirt, and baggy pants
The old soft shoe
He jumped so high, jumped so high
Then he lightly touched down
I met him in a cell in New Orleans I was
down and out
He looked to me to be the eyes of age
as he spoke right out
He talked of life, talked of life, he laughed
clicked his heels and stepped
He said his name "Bojangles" and he danced a lick
across the cell
He grabbed his pants and spread his stance,
Oh he jumped so high and then he clicked his heels
He let go a laugh, let go a laugh
and shook back his clothes all around
Mr. Bojangles, Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles, dance
He danced for those at minstrel shows and county fairs
throughout the south
He spoke through tears of 15 years how his dog and him
traveled about
The dog up and died, he up and died
And after 20 years he still grieves
He said I dance now at every chance in honky tonks
for drinks and tips
But most the time I spend behind these county bars
'cause I drinks a bit
He shook his head, and as he shook his head
I heard someone ask him please
Mr. Bojangles, Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles, dance..

Liane Carroll – How Insensitive

How Insensitive by Liane Carroll

The vocal audiophile song. This song have many version. But in this version is the Bossa. I like Guitar and Saxophone in this song and the singer are great.

Let enjoy song.

Lyric

How insensitive
I must have seemed
When she told me that she loved me
How unmoved and cold
I must have seemed
When she told me so sincerely
Why she must have asked
Did I just turn and stare in icy silence
What was I to say
What can you say
When a love affair is over
Now she's gone away
And I'm alone
With a memory of her last look
Vague and drawn and sad
I see it still
All her heartbreak in that last look
How she must have asked
Could I just turn and stare in icy silence
What was I to do
What can one do
When a love affair is over

Scott McKenzie - San Francisco

San Francisco by Scott McKenzie

The melodious song but I don’t understand Why we should to wear some flower in hair. Who can tell me?

If you're goin' to San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers
in your hair
If you're goin' to San Francisco
You're gonna meet some gentle
people there
For those who come to
San Francisco
Summer time will be a lovin'there
In the streets of San Francisco
Gentle people with flowers
in their hair
All across the nation
Such a strange vibration,
people in motion
There's whole generation
With the new explanation
People in motion,
people in motion
For those who come to
San Francisco
Be sure to wear some flowers
in your hair
If you come to San Francisco
Summer time will be a lovin'there
If you come to San Francisco
Summer time will be a lovin'there
